The building was constructed in the early 20th century by an unknown architect. During the Soviet era, it housed J. Fabricius' cardiology sanatorium, later known as the "Edinburgh" sanatorium. In 2003, the building was restored to its original appearance. Since 2005, it has been operating as the "Pegasa Castle" hotel.
