On May 17-18 in Strenci, on the beach by the Gauja River and at the open-air stage, the 27th Gauja Raftsmen Festival will be held, where the skill of raftsmen is honored, included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list since 2022. There are still men in Strenci who possess this skill and willingly demonstrate it to others, inviting people to gather at the annual Gauja Raftsmen Festival. The program includes a craft and homemade goods market, a performance by the Vidzeme musicians' orchestra, open-air cinema, concerts, excursions, sports games, and a lively dancing ball.
