Allaži Parish Festival 2025
On August 24, residents of Sigulda Municipality are always warmly welcomed at the Allaži Parish Festival.
- This year's festival will be inaugurated with a concert by kokle player Lauma Matule at the Allaži Church. Before the concert, the group of painting enthusiasts “Allasille” invites everyone to experience a creative atmosphere in the church grounds. Colorful brushes will be waving from 11:00 AM, and those interested in painting are invited to join with their own materials and tools.
- From 12:00 PM, the Allaži Community Center will host the exhibition “Always Welcome in Allaži,” which tells the story of the famous drink Allaži Čimelis and showcases works by the painting enthusiasts “Allasille,” offering a glimpse into the talents of these artists.
- Starting at 1:00 PM, festival visitors are invited to gather at Birzes Street 4 in Allaži, where creative workshops for children and a mobile games park will be available throughout the day. Visitors can try their hand at stilt walking and giant Jenga, among other activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to create large-format flowers as keepsakes, and Allaži resident Dina Siliņa will share insights on the gifts of the meadow. She will explain when and how to gather and use herbal teas, as well as provide an overview of the currently trending topics of mushrooms and other forest products.
- Allaži Manor boasts a record number of gladiolus, and this year, the gladiolus exhibition will once again delight visitors to the Allaži Festival.
- The Allaži library will provide lessons on tactical chess moves and strategies.
- This year, several vehicles will gather, including those of Allaži residents and car enthusiasts, as well as a vehicle from the Inčukalns Volunteer Firefighters' Association and the operational transport of Sigulda Municipality, each with a specific task – a photo-orienteering challenge.
- In addition, at Birzes Street 4 by the stage, a foam party for children will take place at 1:00 PM for those who want to get a little wet, featuring an animator and prizes. Please remember to bring a towel and a change of clothes, as it promises to be a lot of fun.
- At 3:30 PM, Lauma Matule will give a masterclass on traditional kokle playing. Participants do not need to bring their own kokle or have prior skills, as there will be tasks for everyone. However, if you have a musical, rattling, or wind instrument at home, feel free to bring it along.
- At 6:00 PM, Armands Lozinskis – Lūsis will perform the most resonant songs of Prāta Vētra.
- At 9:00 PM, the festival will conclude with a lively open-air dance party featuring the band “Klaidonis” and DJ Alekss.
Participation in the festival is free of charge.
