Annika Lanka's music captivates with its melodiousness and various subtle nuances – closing your eyes, you can easily imagine her fingers gliding over the piano keys like over shimmering pearls, leading us into the flow of the subconscious.

From tinkering on her sister's piano to collaborating with some of Latvia's finest pianists, Annika has created a music style that seamlessly blends ethereal beauty with joyful abundance. Influenced by the works of Ólafur Arnalds and George Winston, Annika strives to capture a similar admiration and brightness in her debut album “Vol. 1” and with "Vol. 2" Annika takes listeners on a deeply personal journey through bookmarks from 2023 to 2024. These melodies reflect a period characterized by unexpected changes and healing. Each piece embodies the bittersweet beauty of the year that unfolded in unpredictable ways, offering a sense of comfort and understanding.

In these compositions, courage and introspection intertwine, guiding Annika along unexplored paths, capturing the essence of an abandoned and deeply enlightening year.

“My music is often described as film music. I myself present it as songs without words. You feel and hear that something is being said to you, but it resonates without text – that’s how I feel it and how I express it. It’s not quite minimalism – you can sense the touch of classical pianism in the music. I used to play only the piano, now I also use synthesizers,” reveals Annika Lanka.

The summer evening concert offers listeners the opportunity to enjoy the magic of Annika Lanka's music and the rich sound of the unique instrument of the concert hall - David Klavins' vertical piano.
