ansis @ Lime Quarter

On July 19th this year at 22:00, an award-winning rapper ansis will host a solo concert at the Lime Quarter in Kuldīga. Concertgoers can expect a rich and grandiose program filled with musical surprises and special guests who will join ansis on stage.

“Kuldīga was one of the first places outside Jūrmala where I was allowed to rap on stage more than 20 years ago (Rumbas Roks 2004). It's time to return. I won't be appearing at festivals this year, but in Duna — yes,” ansis shares.

ansis (real name — Ansis Kolmanis) is one of the most recognized and award-winning local hip-hop artists. He is a multiple-time recipient of the Latvian Music Recording of the Year Award “Golden Microphone” and the first rapper to receive the prestigious Austras Award. He is also one half of the hip-hop producer duo “Dirty Loops,” whose debut album-almanac featuring various hip-hop artists, Melnezera grāmata, was recognized as the best rap recording of 2023 in Latvia.
