Bach and sons.
Johann Sebastian Bach is famous not only for his huge number of compositions, but also for his large family, many members of which were involved in music. Wilhelm Friedemann, Carl Philipp Emanuel, and Johann Christian entered music history as successful independent composers. Until the 19th century, when the popularity of Johann Sebastian began to revive, they were even better known than their genius father.
The concert program offers the audience an insight into the diversity of talent in the Bach family, as well as reveals how 18th-century musical trends influenced the traditions that Bach's sons received from their father.
