With Summer in Hand 2025

On June 1, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, the children and youth festival “With Summer in Hand 2025”
in Jaunmārupe, near the water tower.

For several years, at the beginning of the summer season, we have been celebrating the children and youth festival in Jaunmārupe with a diverse program of cultural, sports, and creative activities. This year, for the second time in a row, we are especially pleased to collaborate with RIX Riga Airport for the festival. Various events for families with children can be found here.

The festival will kick off with the traditional children's race, which will take place at 10:00 AM in the meadow near the water tower, inviting children and youth of various age groups to participate. The youngest will have 150 and 300-meter runs, while older children can take part in 600, 900, and even 3200-meter distances.

The cultural program will be opened at 11:00 AM by the municipality's young vocalists - the laureates of the “Chick 2025” competition.
At 11:15 AM, the musical performance “Snappy's Adventures” by the Liepāja Traveling Puppet Theater will delight children. It is a story about a caterpillar who is lonely and searches for friends in the land of fairy tales. However, no one befriends him because he might not be as beautiful as the others. Come and find out if the caterpillar manages to make friends? In the world, we are all so different! It doesn't matter if you are big or small, what matters most is to have a kind, responsive, and friendly heart. Then the whole world will smile at us!

From 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, we welcome you to the grand concert of the municipality's educational institution collectives “On the Way to the XIII Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival”.

At 3:00 PM, the Ukrainian Cultural Center “Dzherelo” youth ensemble and dance studio will perform, and at 3:30 PM, soloist Agnese Stengrevica will take the stage.

At 4:00 PM, we will experience a performance by the Mārupes State Gymnasium band “Bez sakariem” and other surprises. Finally, at 5:00 PM, the day will conclude with a party featuring local DJ Annikka and the band “Carnival Youth”.
