Burtnieki Lake Festival 2025

Join us to celebrate summer in the enchanting Burtnieki – at the Burtnieki Lake Festival! This day promises to be filled with joy, music, dancing, adventures, and a sporty spirit for both the young and old.

Program for the Burtnieki Lake Festival – August 1st in Burtnieki!

At the Burtnieki Center Beach

• 14:00 Opening greetings – drum show. Featuring drummers from Andžeja Grauda's drum school “Drumline Latvia”.
• 14:00–18:00 Activities for children “Burtnieki's Wonderland” (attractions, go-karts (near the park)*, creative workshop by the Valmiera Region Foundation, creative workshop by the Burtnieki Cultural Environment Association, Burtnieki Youth Center's game tent and activities, workshop “Fish”, face painting*.
• 15:00-18:00 Karaoke tent “Come, Let's Sing!” with BaibVaibs.

Activities by the Burtnieki Boat Canal and Lake

• 6:00-9:00 Fishing competition in Burtnieki. Organized by the Burtnieki Fishing and Tourism School Association (more info at tel. 29456900).
• 13:00-21:00 Cruise trips on the pontoon boat “Made Marija”* (free for children under 12, adults 5 EUR).
• 14:00–19:00 “Vidzemes Boats” offers rides with boats and catamarans (free for everyone).
• 14:00-16:00; 17:00-19:00 Horse rides* (children 5 EUR, adults 7 EUR).

At the Museum, Library

• 9:00 – 16:00 Opportunity to visit the Burtnieki Lake Museum (Jaunatnes Street 15, Burtnieki).
• Photo exhibition in the library windows “10 years together with “Dzirnas”.

Evening Program of the Festival

• 18:00 Concert by the group “Citi Zēni”.
• 21:30-23:00 Dance performance “From 10 Let's Dance!!!”. Choreography by Agris Daņiļevičs. Danced by children, youth, middle generation from the Burtnieki area and the dance school “Dzirnas”*.
• Around 23:30 Open-air dance party with the group “KoLūri”*.

Evening Ticket Price: in advance 15 EUR, on the day of the event 20 EUR. Tickets can be purchased at bilesuparadize.lv and the Burtnieki Cultural Center. Free entry for preschool-aged children.
