On Friday, July 19, in the evening, the festival will be opened and the Cesis Castle Park will be serenaded by the group 'Little Prince'. Shortly after, in the same park, the participants of the traditional festival procession will enter ceremoniously.

The festival procession includes various communities and groups from the Cesis district - businesses, sports teams, interest groups, and other locals! Every year, participants of the procession are encouraged to pay special attention to their visual representation, aligning with the overall festival theme - Cesis closer to the stars! The star theme for both the festival and the procession is linked to Cesis' goal to become Latvia's cultural capital in 2025.

From 8:30 p.m., residents and guests will gather on Valmieras Street, starting from the intersection of Valmieras Street and Niniera Street, to embark on a procession at 9:00 p.m. along Valmieras Street, Vienibas Square, and Lencu Street, concluding the procession in the Castle Park, where the 'Cesis Person of the Year 2024' award will be presented.
