Poetry Living in Nature

Within the framework of Poetry Days 2024, the Gulbene District Library invites you to join the hike 'Poetry Living in Nature' on September 6th at 13:00. Together with six poets – Ivars Šteinbergs, Marts Pujāts, Elīna Bākule-Veira, Herta, Miks Rotavots, and Iveta Šimkus – we will depart from the Gulbene District Library along Asaru and Svēto Lake to Emzes Park. Along the route, we will listen to poetry readings by the poets, as well as hear poetry and cultural-historical stories from our local poets about Emzes Park and its creators.

The approximate length of the route is 5 km. Please ensure that your footwear and clothing are suitable for the hike. The estimated duration of the hike is 2 – 3 hours.
