Poetry Day Event 2025

We invite you to a gathering dedicated to the celebration of poetry, where diverse voices and tones will meet. Poets Rasma Svikle – Popova and Dagneja (Dagnija Dudarjonoka), who write in Latgalian, will reveal their creative world, filled with the essence of Latgale, the rhythms of their native land, and the warmth of the heart. Joining them on stage will be one of the most read and quoted contemporary authors – Guntars Račs, whose poetry and song lyrics resonate with thousands of listeners and readers across Latvia, along with performances by singer Edvards Strazdiņš.

The event will also be enriched by a creative painting workshop, offering participants the opportunity to express themselves through colors and shapes, inspired by the words of poems and songs.
