Launch of the Poetry Collection “The Ideal City”

The poetry collection “The Ideal City” creates a concept of the urbanite as a traveler. A wandering eye describes the seen and heard city artifacts, viewed through the author's lens. The collection speaks of Riga, as well as any other city that is dear and beloved to us. The event will feature poetry readings from the collection, accompanied by music performed by Reinis Lodziņš.

Ēriks Naivo is a Latvian artist and poet who has been actively participating in literary readings and performances since 2010. He engages in collage and analog photography, which have been a part of his creative expressions since the age of 15. His first poetry collection, titled “Rhythm”, was published in 2022.

Reinis Lodziņš is a multimedia artist and designer. Under the musician's pseudonym DJ Nieris, he has released several albums. He has organized collaboration-based concerts and performances, weaving poetry with music. In poetry, he is interested in methods of sound execution as part of the creative message, playing around with semantic senses. This will be Reinis's fourth collaboration with Ēriks Naivo.
