Troubadour Singer-Songwriter Festival

Opening the third singer-songwriter festival “Troubadour”, on Thursday, July 24, at 7:00 PM at Druviena Cultural Center, the musical ensemble “LABUMS”, featuring singer Simona Rača-Rūce and musicians Jānis Rūcis (vocals, guitar) and Roberts Dinters (vocals, guitar), invites you to a concert featuring songs by Imants Kalniņš and their original compositions.

The music album “Labums”, released last year and available on streaming platforms, which also inspired the name of the ensemble, includes nine compositions by Imants Kalniņš. The choice of these songs and their performance style were inspired by the inspiration and emotional spectrum gained from lessons with Austra Pumpure. The album was recorded as if in a living room, with personal and simple sincerity – such are the concerts created together by Simona, Jānis, and Roberts. Currently, the musicians are working on their second album, which will feature their original songs, expected to be released by the end of this year.
 
Singer Simona Rača-Rūce and musicians Jānis Rūcis and Roberts Dinters are three members of Austra's Children – students and like-minded individuals of Austra Pumpure from Liepāja. Simona Rača-Rūce and Jānis Rūcis are the ones currently continuing Austra Pumpure's work, bringing together Austra's Children and creating concert programs, which occasionally tour various cities and regions of Latvia. Meanwhile, Roberts Dinters is a member of Austra's Children and a professional guitarist, often heard on the “big stage” performing with Ivo Fomins, Karīna Tatarinova, and many other artists.

Entrance fee: 5.00 EUR. A festival friend ticket for all paid events within the festival from July 24 to 27: 25 EUR. Free admission for children under 12 years of age. 

The “Troubadour” singer-songwriter festival is organized by the Austra's Association and is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, the Latvian National Cultural Center, the State Cultural Capital Foundation, the VKKF target program “Development Program of Latvian Historical Lands”, the Vidzeme Planning Region, the Madona Municipality Cesvaine Association Administration, the Gulbene Municipality, and SIA “Premium Solutions”.
