Organ Music on Sunday. Gavie

The concert will feature two versatile personalities on one stage, united by both the classical music values and the creative process of improvisation: saxophonist, improviser Artis Gāga and composer, organist Renāte Stivriņa, who resides in Poland.

The concert program will include light and spring-like Latvian and Polish music treasures, compositions and improvisations created by the artists themselves, as well as a piece by Johann Sebastian Bach, masterfully transcribed for organ by the French composer and virtuoso Marcel Dupré.

In the spirit of Mother's Day, the symphony for organ by the Polish composer Feliks Nowowiejski will be performed, based on a French song theme dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Here, the image of women as mothers is vividly highlighted.
