On March 15th, at 19:00 in the small concert hall, also known as the Portrait Hall, of the Latvian Academy of Sciences in Riga, a chamber music concert titled 'Fantasy' will be performed by the violinist Ilze Kirsanova from the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and the harpist Jekaterina Suvorova from the Latvian National Opera.

Both artists have created their duet with Camille Saint-Saëns' composition 'Fantasy', after which the concert has received its name. In addition to this piece, the audience will also hear Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's duet 'Opus 156', Béla Bartók's 'Romanian Dances', Chinese composer Hua Yanjun's 'Moon Reflected on the Second Spring' and others.

This chamber music concert will revive the activity of the small concert hall, or Portrait Hall, at the Latvian Academy of Sciences, and the goal is to make this wonderfully acoustically equipped small concert hall, now also with a concert grand piano, accessible to performers and, of course, to fans of academic and other styles of music.
