The End and the Beginning 2025

On September 9th at 6:00 PM, the Rainis and Aspazija House in Riga, Baznīcas Street 30, invites you to the Poetry Day event “The End and the Beginning 2025,” featuring Artis Ostups, Marts Pujāts, Katrīna Rudzīte, and Arvis Viguls. The evening will be hosted by Anna Auziņa.

Rainis's poetry collection “The End and the Beginning” was created during the poet's mature years and is among the pinnacles of his creative work. It is a symbolically philosophical piece, reflecting the poet's humanistic ideas and spiritual quests. In the year marking the 160th anniversary of Rainis and the 60th anniversary of Poetry Days, four acclaimed contemporary poets will reveal the crucial aspects of world and human existence tensions in a reading at the Rainis and Aspazija House.
