Exhibition “Joy of Imagination”

The exhibition of Maija Tabaka's solo show "Joy of Imagination" is on display at the gallery from April 5.

    Joy of Imagination. A seeker of her own path, embodying the real world in a familiar image and acquaintance. The color of her imaginative joy possesses infinity and a unified concept of the fate of existing phenomena and unique colorfulness. The scale of the artist's joy of imagination is professional competence and eternal spirituality.

“Who would I be without my art? I don't know! Everything I have achieved in life, art has given me!”, said Maija Tabaka in the early 80s.

 Collaboration between the gallery “Mans's” and M. Tabaka began over 30 years ago. The popular painter then trusted and dedicated her paintings to the new provincial gallerist Uldis Čamans, who, in turn, did not hesitate to request works from the painting icon. In this, already the third exhibition, about 50 works created from 1982 to 2024 are presented, offered for the solo exhibition by the artist herself. Also on display are paintings from the Latvian National Art Museum, the Latvian Artists' Union Museum, the art center “Zuzeum”, and the gallery “Mans's” collections.
