Opening of the Exhibition 'On the Road'

Rainis Museum 'Jasmuiža' (Aizkalne, Preiļi District) on June 13 at 3:00 PM, invites you to the opening of ceramist Sintija Bērziņa's porcelain exhibition 'On the Road'.

The new ceramist Sintija Bērziņa's porcelain exhibition 'On the Road' is like a journey not only through the artist's creative process and the evolution of exhibits but also through the human creative path. The exhibition showcases not only finished objects but the 'living process' as it happens in the workshop 'and also in life - sometimes with cracks and falls, but the most important thing is to evolve and try again,' adds the artist.

Various materials such as porcelain, paper porcelain, and gypsum have been used in the exhibition. Visitors can also 'enhance' the exhibition, as there is clay available on one of the tables in the room, from which everyone can create a small piece of art.

'The Road. How about you? Do you enjoy the journey to your goal, or do you notice what it teaches you? Or do you head towards the endpoint with a narrow field of vision? Every apparent mistake or failure wants to tell us something and make us think, I would say there are no mistakes, only experience,' invite the creators of the exhibition.

After graduating from Preiļi State Gymnasium, Sintija Bērziņa obtained a bachelor's and master's degree from the Art Academy of Latvia, specializing in ceramics. During her studies, the light and elegant porcelain appealed most to the ceramist, which Sintija predominantly works with to this day. The artist's workshop is located in Preiļi.

Sintija's works have been exhibited in a solo exhibition at Lūznava Manor, and she has also participated in several group exhibitions and porcelain symposiums.

The exhibition 'Jasmuiža' is open from June 13 to August 31.
