Jānis Zābers Music Festival 2025

In celebration of the distinguished Latvian tenor Jānis Zābers' 90th anniversary, on Sunday, August 10th at 3:00 PM in Meirāni, Madona Municipality, the traditional "Jānis Zābers Music Festival" will be held at the open-air stage near the memorial museum "Vecais Ceplis".

These festivals have become a cherished tradition dedicated to the Latvian nation's "bright genius" – the illustrious opera singer Jānis Zābers. This year's program will be especially grand, as it marks his 90th anniversary.

Participants of the Festival:
Soloists: Ingus Pētersons, Nauris Puntulis, Guntars Ruņģis, Miervaldis Jenčs, Edgars Ošleja, Dainis Skutelis, Raimonds Bramanis, Jānis Kurševs, Andris Ludvigs, and Dainis Kalnačs.
Winners of the boys' vocal competition "Aiviekstes Nightingales": Kristaps Kumsārs and Zintis Kovaļevskis.
The men's chamber choir "Frachori", artistic director Ingus Leilands.
Pianist: Māris Žagars.
