Jānis Strapcāns in the Concert Program "One"

On September 13th at 4:00 PM, the solo concert of music author and performer JĀNIS STRAPCĀNS titled “One” will take place at the Sabile Art, Culture, and Tourism Center. It will be a conversation with the world at a specific moment and in a way that no one else would have done.

The concert will feature J. Strapcāns' solo project “One”, whose first herald is a piano miniature album created using a special technique, featuring the musician's voice and Imants Ziedonis' minimalisms. “The album was created by simultaneously singing, composing, recording, and performing dozens of piano sounds and piano parts, which often overlap to create a sound reminiscent of wind chimes, where specific harmonies or chords are often not discernible. All the miniatures were made in the early mornings, when neither the city, nor the forest, nor the human mind had awoken, which as a filter or sometimes even as a brick wall, hinders the perception of the true nature of things,” explains the project author Jānis Strapcāns about how he managed to find his unique form and style of expression.
