The festival 'Walking on Air' will take place in Auce this Saturday
Everyone is invited to participate in the energetic festival 'Walking on Air' in Auce, Ideju centrs, this Saturday, August 19. The festival organizers have prepared a diverse and exciting program, including performances of various music genres, creative activities, a cafe with unique rules, speed dating, dance performances, and an art exhibition. At the same time, donations will be collected to help the hurricane-affected areas.
This Saturday, August 19, from 16:00 to 03:00, the festival 'Walking on Air' will take place in Auce, Ideju centrs, with a diverse program of artistic and creative activities. Various concerts will be held on the main stage throughout the day. The festival will be opened by the ensemble 'Absolut Brass Brand', followed by performances by soloist Agnese Matveja, saxophonist Ernests Aļļis, the group 'Brīvais stils' (at 17:15), soloist Ģertrūde Rūta with accompanying ensemble (at 18:20), soloist Keitija Bārbale (at 19:40), the groups 'Pirmais kurss' (at 21:30) and 'The Imaginary boys' (at 23:00), DJ Winter Skies and Captain Reinis. Dance groups 'Kāpnes', 'Zumba lovers', and PAnda. Dance Studio will also delight with their performances.
From 16:00 to 20:30, there will be creative workshops. Gaming enthusiasts will have the opportunity to create a video game together with the Latvian Game Developers Association, as well as play various 'Brain Games'. The student association 'Šalkone' will offer intellectual tasks about the forest and other activities. Face painting workshops will be available, and visitors will have the chance to meet hairstylist Dantes from the USA, as well as capture the festival's atmosphere from different perspectives in a photo workshop.
Art lovers are invited to visit Elza Vildaus' poetry workshop (from 16:30 to 19:30), Līga Holodņikova's art exhibition and virtual reality, where they can view the works of new media students from Liepāja University, and explore the universe together with amateur astronomer Juri Jerums.
BERGI food and SIA 'Lielisks' will delight festival visitors with delicious food and drinks.
During the festival, there will be an opportunity to donate to help the hurricane-affected areas. The organizers encourage everyone to donate by calling +371 90006865, with a call cost of 4.27 euros.

By choosing Ideju centrs as the venue for the festival, the organizers aim to turn it into a cultural event platform. Ideju centrs was established as a creative event location following the initiative of artist Raitis Junkevics.
The event is organized by the association 'JM Jumis' in cooperation with the farm 'Vecauce' and the youth house 'Pilnīgs kosmoss' in Auce. The festival is financially supported by Dobeles municipality.
