Inauguration of organs at the Daugavpils Catholic Church!

On January 8th, the event "INAUGURATION OF NEW ORGAN IN DAUGAVPILS" will take place at the Church of Divine Mercy Roman Catholic parish, where the inauguration of new digital organs will occur, with the participation of various organists and a diverse musical program. Music from different periods will be played on the organs, showcasing the versatility of the instrument through the performance of various compositions. There will also be a meeting with the organ builders. During the "INAUGURATION OF NEW ORGAN IN DAUGAVPILS" event, baroque (J.S. Bach, D. Buxtehude), romantic (F. Liszt, F. Mendelssohn, T. Dubois), and contemporary (R. Dubra, D. Germans) organ music will be performed. The inauguration of the new organs will be performed by Zane Ozoliņa, a student of Daugavpils Music Secondary School, Evelīna Ašķeļaņeca, a student of Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, organ designer Andris Gribuška, and organist and organ pedagogue Baiba Betlere.
