Judith | Operetta
Judith and Octavio meet in an extreme situation that, as the story unfolds, turns into a “deadly” desert. The war, which Octavio is forced to join, intensifies the desperate fate of their passionate night of love. In this hopeless desire, there is a dominant sensual, desperate longing and an erotic obsession with each other, overwhelming, terrifying, like a caged longing for love.
Judith is considered Lehár's finest work and was also the composer's favorite. Therefore, to mark the composer's 155th birthday, it is being staged in Latvia for the first time. For the first time in musical theater history - now also in Latvia!
The Lehár Festival in Bad Ischl (Das Lehár Festival Bad Ischl) is the largest operetta festival in Austria, and its diversity and quality are unique worldwide.
