Comedy "CRAZY GOOD DAY" | In Alūksne

Starting October 15, across Latvia, the stage hit by British playwright Donald Churchill, “Crazy Good Day”, will begin in J.J. Džilingers's witty production. It's a comedy that detonates the shell of politeness and shakes out everything we hide in everyday life. This is one of the most frequently staged plays by Churchill, cherished by theaters worldwide for several decades. Following its premiere at the Watford Palace Theatre, a triumphant tour across the UK ensued, ten years of success in Germany, applause in France, and audience ovations in at least 25 other countries, including the USA, Italy, South Africa, and Israel. And now – in Latvia!

“Crazy Good Day” peeks behind the scenes of England's high society. Where supposed politeness and sophistication reign, tension, jealousy, and a desire for justice or at least proper revenge simmer beneath the surface. Unexpected twists, poorly masked emotions, and unabashed passions – that's exactly how a summer afternoon will unfold when all the characters, knowingly or unknowingly, meet in a London apartment. A decorator with acting ambitions, brushes, and Shakespeare in his backpack, a temperamental society lady with a plan that must not be spoiled, and an angry “ex” – with a wooden mallet, a desire for revenge, and “to tell all”… What could go wrong? EVERYTHING!!!
