Starting from October 15th, the British playwright Donald Churchill's stage hit “A Crazy Good Day” will begin its run across Latvia in J.J. Džilinžers' witty production. It's a comedy that shatters the shell of politeness and shakes out all the things we hide in our daily lives. This is one of Churchill's most frequently staged plays, beloved by theaters worldwide for several decades. Following its premiere at Watford Palace Theatre, it embarked on a triumphant tour across the United Kingdom, enjoyed ten years of success in Germany, applause in France, and audience ovations in at least 25 other countries, including the USA, Italy, South Africa, and Israel. And now – in Latvia!

“A Crazy Good Day” delves into the backstage of England's high society. Where there seems to be politeness and sophistication, there actually simmers tension, jealousy, and a desire for justice or at least some good old revenge. Unexpected twists, poorly concealed emotions, and unabashed passions – this is how one summer afternoon unfolds when all the characters, either intentionally or accidentally, meet in a London apartment. A decorator with acting ambitions, brushes and Shakespeare in his backpack, a temperamental society lady with a plan that must not go awry, and an angry “ex” – armed with a wooden hammer, a thirst for revenge, and a desire to “tell it all”… What could go wrong? EVERYTHING!!!
