Concert “Vidzemes Talents”
On Sunday, August 24, at 4:00 PM, the concert “Vidzemes Talents” will be held in the Great Hall of the Concert Hall “Cēsis”.
The Alfreds Kalniņš Cēsis Music High School, in collaboration with the school's support association, invites you to attend the concert of the most talented students and competition laureates from music schools in the Vidzeme region, titled “Vidzemes Talents – Code: Alfrēdskola.”
As the 2025/2026 academic year marks the centennial year of the Alfreds Kalniņš Cēsis Music High School (AKCMV), the guiding theme for the 2025 “Vidzemes Talents” concert is “Alfrēdskola – The Code That Unites Talents.” For many years, since organizing the “Vidzemes Talents” concert, the school has served as a unifying core, as the concert participants are students from the Vidzeme region who are potential future students of AKCMV. Many of their teachers are school alumni, the concert's musical arrangements are crafted by the young composer and alumna Annija Anna Zariņa, and a significant portion of the Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra musicians are alumni and school teachers.
The concert will feature students from Vidzeme music schools – competition laureates – from Alūksne, Cēsis, Limbaži, Madona, Mālpils, Rūjiena, Saulkrasti, Smiltene, Valmiera, and the Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra under the artistic direction and conductorship of Andris Veismanis.
The concert program will showcase performances on various instruments, including the cello, flute, guitar, clarinet, piano, xylophone, kokle, marimba, saxophone, trombone, and violin.

Financial support for the concert was received within the framework of the “Vidzeme Culture Program 2025” implemented by the Vidzeme Planning Region, which is realized under the State Culture Capital Foundation's target program “Development Program for Latvian Historical Lands.”
