Musical Concert Story “In Our Forest”

Everyone has their own forest – with trees, bushes, berries, mushrooms, and of course, its inhabitants – animals that sometimes resemble people, and at times remind us of animals.

Musician, soloist, and songwriter Andris Baltacis brings the musical concert story “In Our Forest” to the audience at Mazmežotne Manor.

True life stories intertwine with songs that become brighter, juicier, and even more playful.

Having spent almost 40 years on stage, performing with various groups and soloists, not all songs and life stories have been shared with the public. The collection is rich enough to grow into a new concert story.

The concert will feature songs and poetry by Andris Baltacis, Broņislava Martuževa, Valdis Zilveris, and Jānis Peters, true stories of musicians' lives, as well as well-known and beloved melodies. The program allows the audience to travel along forest paths in both poetry and songs, indulging in a delightful lightness and also poignant reflections.
