Cultural and Culinary Event “Taste of Italian Life”

On August 23, 2025, a cultural and culinary event “Taste of Italian Life” will take place at Stāmeriena Castle.

Throughout the day (starting at 11:00 AM), everyone is invited to experience the park of Stāmeriena Castle and enjoy an Italian atmosphere in food and drinks. "Valle Caffe" will offer Italian-themed dishes and wines from Italy. "Alojas Pizza" will provide the opportunity to watch authentic pizza being made on-site and enjoy it hot and fresh. Even the Italians themselves admit that Alojas pizzas are among the best in Latvia, made on a real fire. “Bar 9” will offer Italy's famous Aperol spritz alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, Aperol mimosa, Limoncello spritz, and various strong drink cocktails. The cake shop “Gardums” will offer dark chocolate cake, cheesecake with berries, Pavlova, and other cakes, as well as fine cookies and cookie assortments. All can be enjoyed with “Tīrs miers” coffee.

During the day, families with children are invited to immerse themselves in the lifestyle of the 19th and 20th centuries by playing wooden games such as “Croquet”, “Lumberjack”, and “Baroness’s Lace” in the castle park.

1:00 PM Castle Barn - Concert Show “Wonders of the World”. Extreme tricks for thrill-seekers and songs in Italian with artist Danti Pecolli. Limited seating available.

2:30 PM at Stāmeriena Castle - Philosophical Discussions “What Does Stāmeriena Hide?” Entry - free of charge

4:00 PM In the Castle Hall - Classical Music Concert “Court Music”. Anete Toča (flute), Tatjana Ostrovska (violin), and pianist Ieva Sarja. The chamber music program “Court Music” will feature works by European and Latvian composers for flute, violin, and piano. The concert program delves into the language of sound, and its theme and content introduce the aesthetics and atmosphere characteristic of castles and manors.

7:00 PM In the Castle Park - World Music Band JŌRA Concert “Sea Routes”
Jōra is a group of four energetic young people who perform music from Latvia and other regional nations.
In their ensemble - violin, kokle, guitar, and percussion, they blend sounds belonging to Latvia and Northern Europe.
