Lāčplēsis Day in Ape 2024
Lāčplēsis Day celebrations are held throughout Latvia, and Apealso offers interested parties the opportunity to participate in ceremonial activities on November 11th.
From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the 31st Infantry Battalion of the National Guard will host military activities for children and families in the parking area of the Ape Cultural Center;
At 5:30 PM, a moment of reflection at Ape's St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church;
At 7:00 PM, induction of new Young Guards, and a Rihards Saule's Festival concert “We Are in This Land” dedicated to Lāčplēsis Day and the 106th anniversary of the Latvian State at the Ape Cultural Center. Admission is free.
At 8:30 PM, a torchlight procession from the Ape Cultural Center to the Ape city cemetery.
