Torchlight Procession ‘Path of Light’

We invite everyone on November 11 at 5:00 PM in Talsi to participate in the Lāčplēsis Day torchlight procession ‘Path of Light’ with a candle, torch, or light.

Let us honor and remember our heroes who fought for the freedom and independence of Latvia!

Participants will gather and line up for the procession at Talsi State Gymnasium (in the alley) on Brīvības Street 29, at the memorial site of the Lāčplēsis War Order bearers (from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM);

The procession begins (5:30 PM) – from the Lāčplēsis War Order bearers' memorial site to the intersection with Lielā Street, from Lielā Street to the City Square – Fabrikas Street.
The procession concludes at the monument ‘Koklētājs’ from the City Square.

Memorial moment (6:00 PM) – at the monument ‘Koklētājs’, attended by Talsi Municipality Council Deputy Chairman Dainis Karols, preacher Māris Gruzniņš, and Vilis Ieviņš, head of the Talsi branch of the Latvian Association of Politically Repressed. The youth of Talsi Christian Secondary School will provide musical performances.
