Latgale Hiking Day 2024

For those who enjoy active recreation, hiking, and various nature trails, spending Latgale Hiking Day on May 26 will be truly exciting. At 10:00, the second organized hike in the Balvi District near Viļaka will kick off at the Ancient Artefacts and Retro Motorcycle Collection ''Cīrulīši'' (Tepenīca, Susāji parish).

The hike will be led by guide Dzintars Dvinskis and is planned to be approximately 18 km long. The route includes the villages around Viļaka – Tepenīca, Mitrakalns, Vēdenieši, Čabatrova, Gruzdova, and Lake Tepenīca.

Participation fee is 10.00 euros per person, which covers the entrance fees to the sights and a warm meal at the end of the hike. The hike is expected to conclude around five in the evening.
