Celebratory Event Dedicated to the 106th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia
On Sunday, November 17, a celebratory event dedicated to the 106th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia will take place at Valka City Cultural Center, consisting of three activities.
From 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM, guests of the event will have the opportunity to raise a festive toast with the leaders of Valka Municipality in the foyer of Valka Cultural Center's first floor.
From 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the main event of the evening will take place in the main hall – the award ceremony of the Laureates of Appreciation of Valka Municipality.
The event will be hosted by Raimonds Celms, an actor from the Latvian National Theatre. It will be enriched by the Northern Star Women's Choir of Valka Municipality, conducted by Karīna Pundzjus, and the men's vocal ensemble “Let it Sound” of Valka City, led by Inese Niklaviča.
This will be followed by a State celebration concert, presented to the event guests by the Chancellery of the Latvian President in collaboration with the State Joint Stock Company “Latvian Concerts”. Visitors will be delighted by the Latvian Radio Big Band, conducted by Kārlis Vanags, and soloist Paula Saija. The concert will take place from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM.
From 8:00 PM to midnight, a Basket Ball with the band “Propelleris” will be held in the main hall.
From November 11, every interested person will have the opportunity to reserve a table for the ball in the main hall. Limited number of tables available!
Admission to the event is free for all residents and guests!
