Latvian Spirit Flowing in the Veins of Youth

Join us for the Lāčplēsis Day event in Līvāni "Latvian Spirit Flowing in the Veins of Youth" 

On November 11, Līvāni will celebrate Lāčplēsis Day with a special event filled with the spirit of Latvian-ness and respect for Latvian heroes. All interested individuals are invited to participate in the event to collectively honor the freedom fighters and enjoy national traditions.

Event program:

17:15 Gathering at the Līvāni District Culture Center

17:30 the traditional Torchlight Walk will commence from the Līvāni Cultural Center to the Liberation Monument. Here, a moment of remembrance will take place, where we will show respect to the heroes of Latvia's independence struggles.

19:00 everyone is invited to the Līvāni Glass and Crafts Center, where a quiz about Latvia will take place. This will be a great opportunity to test your knowledge of Latvian history and culture. And the top three places will also receive cool prizes!

19:15 we will conclude the evening by the Daugava River, where bonfires will be lit in honor of the Lāčplēsis Order knights. Together with the folklore group TURKI, we will enjoy Latvian songs and create a special atmosphere.
