On August 5th, the Livonian Festival will take place in Mazirbe, dedicated to the centenary of the Livonian Union. The festivities will begin at 10:00 in the morning with a worship service at Mazirbe Church, followed by the honoring of three Livonian oaks and the opening of the festival at the Livonian Folk House. Later, the ritual of honoring the Sea Mother, which is of great importance to the Livonians, will take place on the beach, and interested visitors can attend the Wise Hour in the Folk House hall, where the unveiling of the latest Livonian books will take place. Here, you can learn all about the latest books that hold significant meaning for the Livonians.
Music will not be absent - Estonia's mixed choir "Vanemuine", which has previously performed successfully in Latvia, will perform, and in the evening there will be a concert called "Our Journey", dedicated to the centenary of the Livonian Union.
At eight o'clock in the evening, a Fire Ritual will take place on the coast, and at eleven o'clock a Green Ball will begin, where everyone is invited to dance, sing, and celebrate.
