Midsummer Celebration Preparations Market

Do you want to get yourself or others some midsummer herbs, tasty cheese, or something else to celebrate Midsummer in Latvian traditions? On June 22 from 15:00 to 19:00, the Midsummer Celebration Preparations Market will take place in Ogre, on the pedestrian section of Brīvības Street.

Visitors to the market will have the opportunity to purchase handicrafts, food products, decorative items, and other products for the festive table and joyful midsummer celebrations.

The market will be filled with the Midsummer spirit, and at 15:00, 16:00, and 17:00 in the City Square, visitors will be greeted with concerts by the ethno-joy group 'Ogas,' while at 16:30 and 18:00 on the pedestrian section of Brīvības Street near the sculpture 'Baltā cielava,' shopping and the magic of the Summer Solstice will be brought to life by the folkloric group 'Artava' from Ogre District Cultural Center.

The event will be filmed and photographed. The captured material will be used for publicity purposes. Both locals and visitors are invited to visit the market, listen to music, and purchase useful items and various delicacies!
