On June 23, on Midsummer Eve in Ventspils Reņķis Garden from 9:00 PM, the singing actor Edgars Pujāts, together with the concert ensemble “First Time,” will invite the audience to the concert program “Let Us Call, Let Us Sing.” After the concert, there will be an open-air dance for Jāņi Night.
The concert ensemble includes Edgars Pujāts, Armands Kaušelis, and Inese Bergmane, who will delight with popular stage and folk songs, communal singing, and dancing.
After the concert, there will be an opportunity to witness the lighting of the bonfire. The ancient Latvians believed that the power of the flames brought happiness, health, and fertility. The light and warmth of the Jāņi Night bonfire warded off evil spirits and protected people and homes from misfortunes.
The evening will continue from 10:00 PM with lively dances at the Jāņi Night open-air dance together with the group “Express.” DJ during breaks.
