ROLE PLAYS. A Tasteful French Comedy | Ādaži
The witty comedy “Role Plays” by playwright Éric Assous (original title “Les Montagnes Russes”), which has delighted audiences and critics around the world, will begin its journey to audiences all over Latvia this autumn.
Pierre is a family man, a commercial director at a company that manufactures camera lenses. While his wife and son have gone on vacation to a ski resort, the director decides to invite a young woman he randomly met at a bar to his home. In the prime of his middle age, he has decided for the first time to taste the “forbidden fruit,” embarking on a promising flirtation, but things do not go as planned, and the events and unexpected twists experienced during the night will forever change Pierre's life.
“When staging plays, two things have always been important to me - exceptional dramaturgy and great actors. This time is no exception. I chose Éric Assous's play because the author has a great command of the comedy genre, and, in my opinion, when there is an abundance of gloom all around, tasteful humor is something everyone truly needs,” says the play's director, Intars Rešetins-Pētersons.
