Home Café Days in Cēsis Municipality 2025

In the second half of summer, Cēsis Municipality traditionally transforms into a true gourmet destination! Home Café Days return with new flavors, special stories, and an unforgettable atmosphere. This year, they will take place from August 23rd to 24th, but the first opportunity to taste the special dishes of local hosts was already available on August 2nd and 3rd in Skujene.

Home Café Days are a special time when both near and far guests visit the hosts of Cēsis Municipality to enjoy hospitality, a warm atmosphere, and unique flavors. This year, there will be plenty to choose from, as more than 30 cafés will open their doors, offering a wide variety of dishes and activities. Additionally, there will be many new destinations participating for the first time in the event. We know it will be a great success!

Cēsis Municipality prides itself on its cultural and historical heritage and nature – Cēsis Medieval Castle and Old Town, the Līgatne paper mill village, and the sandstone cliff cellars. The cultural space of Piebalga, with its history, landscapes, and traditions, is unique in Latvia's cultural environment and cultural canon. Also, the Straupe Farmers' Market operates in a cultural and historical site – the Straupe Horse Post, where history intertwines with modernity. And, of course – the Gauja National Park and its unique nature. Here, you will experience history, the present, and the future all in one step, presented with the warmth and enthusiasm of the locals.
