Home Café Days in the Talsi Region 2025

"Home Café Days" is a special event where improvised cafés open their doors to visitors for one or two days, inviting them to experience each region of Latvia through culinary offerings, traditions, and culture.

 Local residents, who usually do not engage in catering or hosting guests, become chefs and waiters, offering guests special homemade dishes from their family or region.

 During Home Café Days, we invite you to listen, see, and feel the colors, scents, and daily life present in each café's garden. The offerings will include various Latvian dishes made from homegrown and forest-sourced ingredients, as well as authentic Georgian cuisine, dishes suitable for vegans and vegetarians. There will be a chance to taste various fish dishes, using fish caught in the sea and other local products. The pride of the Dundaga area and the Livonian Coast is the traditional Livonian and Kurzeme dishes, which everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Locals are eager to showcase the uniqueness of the coastline and special dishes to every visitor.
