Malta 88

With the slogan “Malta 88,” we invite you to join us in celebrating the Malta Parish Festival on August 23, where music, art, and entertainment will come together!

Festival program:

• 5:00 PM - Festival opening at the Malta Parish Cultural Center. Simultaneously, you will have the opportunity to view vehicles from members of the Latgale RETRO AUTO MOTO club and participate in their organized activities;
• 6:00 PM - Participate in the children's entertainment program “Chemical Show,” which will be exciting and educational not only for children but also for adults. During the show, you will have the chance to observe impressive chemical experiments and even assume the role of a scientist yourself;
• 7:00 PM - We invite you to enjoy a musical art performance – the play “Rural Love,” presented by the Rezekne City National Societies Cultural Center Youth Theater Studio “Joriks” (directed by Larisa Shchukina).
  “Rural Love” is a touching story about the inhabitants of a small village. This story is also about the worth of fighting for happiness and true love.
  In one small village, there are heroes. There is only one tavern owned by a wealthy family, and in this family, there is a girl of marriageable age – Tartanella. The village is so small that there is only one eligible bachelor – a handsome man whom all the village girls have fallen in love with. However, the young man's heart beats faster only when he is near one girl – Maria. Her friends are very envious of Maria because the only bachelor in the village chose her! How do you think this story will end?
• 8:00 PM - We invite you to attend Sandra Dubova's solo concert program “Our Sea,” featuring the performer's most popular songs.
  Sandris Dubovs is able to create an active and friendly atmosphere at his events, inspiring attendees to sing and dance along. His most recognizable songs include “On This Day,” “Signs of Destiny,” “Our Sea,” and others. The artist regularly participates in Latvia's heart song surveys, and his second album “Signs of Destiny” was nominated for the TV3 Latvian Music Recording of the Year Award in the category “Best Schlager Music Album.”
• 9:00 PM - The stage will be graced by musician Andris Baltacis, soloist of the band “White Bears” and participant in the Latvian Television show “Sing Over Me!”;
• 10:00 PM - DJ Normunds will take over the stage with music for all tastes and ages.
