On March 17th, the Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA in Jurmala offers a pancake-eating festival called 'Maslenitsa'. As the name suggests, the main focus on this day is on pancakes. Maslenitsa is one of the oldest and most vibrant Slavic festivals, celebrating the turning of the sun towards spring.

In honor of this day, 'Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA' will bake a variety of pancakes – thin, thick, sweet, savory, with different fillings and toppings. Of course, visitors will also be able to taste other snacks. The musical part will not be missed – songs will be played, and the folk group 'Berendeika' will ensure that everyone who wishes to participate in dances, games, or other activities will be able to do so.

The arrival of spring is celebrated in many places by burning a straw effigy on the seashore, symbolizing the farewell to winter as well as to all past sorrows and misfortunes. Visitors will also be able to witness this tradition.
