Little Poetry Festival at the Summer House
On September 20th at 11:00 AM, Rainis and Aspazija's summer house in Jūrmala, at Jānis Pliekšāns Street 5/7, invites children and families to the Poetry Days event "Little Poetry Festival at the Summer House".
The summer house and its garden will transform into a creative environment where poetry comes alive through workshops and playful activities, inspired by the works of Rainis and Aspazija. The event aims to introduce children to the joy of poetry—how to turn words into play, images, and feelings, thereby getting to know two great figures of Latvian literature more closely.
Young visitors will be able to participate in a poetry theater, where poems will turn into stories and movements, create their own dream masks, letting imagination and fantasy roam free, and collectively craft a poetry tree dedicated to Rainis and Aspazija.
The "Little Poetry Festival at the Summer House" is designed to reveal the museum to children as a creative and lively place, where one can not only learn but also play, get inspired, and create.
