Meteņi together with Valmiermuiža Brewery and folk ensemble 'Dandari'!

On the 9th of February this year, at 8 o'clock in the evening, visitors to the Valmiermuiža Brewery dining room will have the opportunity to joyfully celebrate Meteņi together with the folk ensemble 'Dandari'. As is known, Meteņi is the time between winter and spring. With a good mood, songs, dances, and pride in oneself, Meteņi are celebrated, helping spring to overcome winter. And, of course, an important aspect of Meteņi time is ensuring a good harvest. In the Valmiermuiža Brewery dining room, there will be an opportunity to sing, dance, and learn an easy game with the possibility of boasting about who can do it more interestingly and better, and also the dance 'Vidzeme Jandāls', where everyone will have to come up with their own special moves. LU Folk Dance Ensemble 'Dandari' has been actively operating for over 40 years, and has released 3 music albums - a disc of games and two discs of quadrilles, as well as their latest album 'Divatā', which is dedicated to couple dances that 'Dandari' perform and dance at events and international festivals. Children up to the age of 6 enter for free. In the Valmiermuiža Brewery kitchen, the innkeepers will have prepared delicious food and drinks to refresh the enthusiastic dancers.
