At the Museum with Aspazija and Taro

Raiņa and Aspazija's summer house (Jūrmala, Jāņa Pliekšāna Street 5/7) invites visitors on June 29 and July 6 to the museum, where guests can embark on an exciting tour through the museum almost with Aspazija herself.

On Aspazija's birthday in March, Raiņa and Aspazija's summer house offered new and unconventional tours, where museum specialists dressed similarly to Aspazija – with large, bright scarves and head ornaments – as seen in the photographs of the poetess herself. Such a guided tour offers a completely different museum visit experience. 'How do texts, words from the pages of books live in the consciousness of today's person? Perhaps also through the screen, card deck, scent, or sound in the air? How do we feel and perceive Aspazija's personality, her characters and the world of thoughts in poetry nowadays, nearly 100 years after Aspazija's lifetime? Perhaps the characters created by Aspazija live through time and similar predictions fill our spiritual space? Does the exhibition and exposition always look the same?' invites the museum specialists.

During the excursion, visitors will explore the exhibition 'Me and You' at the summer house, immersing themselves in Aspazija's warm and playful memories of her and Raiņa's shared life.

At the end of the tour, participants will have the opportunity to draw an 'Aspazija's Tarot' card, obtaining a poetic prediction for themselves or a hint towards solving a question.
