Museum Night “The Boys of Sūnu Village – Then and Now”

On May 17, from 7:00 PM to midnight, the Andrejs Upītis Memorial Museum (Brīvības Street 38-4, Riga) will welcome visitors on Museum Night to share and listen to stories about Sūnu Village, both past and present, as the beloved story for the youth, “The Boys of Sūnu Village,” celebrates its 85th anniversary this year.

Program:

• 7:00 PM Opening of the exhibition “Graphic Artists of Sūnu Village” by students of the LMA Graphics Department;
• 7:10 PM–7:30 PM Concert by the flute quartet from the Wind Instruments Department of Emīls Dārziņš Music School;
• 7:00 PM–12:00 AM
  • photo exhibition about the production of “The Boys of Sūnu Village” at the State Youth Theatre;
  • interactive game “Save the Painting!”;
  • viewing of the main exhibition.
