"The Kid and Karlsson Who Lives on the Roof" is an exciting story about the world of adults and childhood. It's about the diverse, colorful world of imagination in which we all live. The play is intended for those who have not forgotten their childhood, their dreams. In other words - all of us. The game will be the essence of this musical production: who will surpass, outplay whom? Is it possible for these two worlds to meet - even in a game, in fantasies? In the game of life? Definitely! If both of these worlds are united by a dream. A dream that begins in childhood.
Karlsson is flying again, and the adventures continue! Even though Brālītis gets a dog so he doesn't feel lonely, Karlsson is still a much better playmate because he is always free, independent, daring, and ready for mischief. The driving force behind the game and improvisation is to accumulate energy and joy for both the actors and the audience. "I want to have fun, otherwise I won't participate," says Karlsson. The creators of the show invite you to participate in rolling buns, spooking, flying, and bouncing together with Karlsson and Brālītis!
""Karlsson" is an exciting, witty musical adventure game about a world with a mystery, as many have tried to guess Karlsson's secret - who he really is: Brother's imagination or a truly real being? A real fairy tale book, as formulated by Erich Kästner, intended for children from eight to eighty years old. In the show, we have adhered to this idea," says the director of the show, Valdis Lūriņš, adding that it will be interesting for both the youngest and the adults.
Created by: director Valdis Lūriņš, choreographer Alberts Kivlenieks, set designer Oskars Dreģis, costume designer Juta Ķimmenīte, musical director Madars Kalniņš. Artistic director and producer - Agija Ozoliņa-Kozlovska.
