From Summer to Summer

On June 29th of this year at 8:00 PM at the Ķestermeža open-air stage in Dobele, the medium generation dance collective "Dzīpars" will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a splendid grand concert, where dance collectives from all over Latvia will come together, including former dancers of "Dzīpars":

VPDK "Akači" (led by Santa Jankovska);
VPDK "Bikstenieki" (led by Agita Jansone);
VPDK "Daiļrades Zelts" (led by Gunita Zirne);
VPDK "Daugava" (led by Ieva Jundze);
BDK "Drellīši" (led by Sanita Prese);
TDA "Drīziņš" (led by Iveta Novika, Arvils Noviks);
VPDK "Mana Rotaļa" (led by Dace Adviljone);
TDA "Rotaļa" (led by Diāna Gavare);
VPDK "Rotaļa" XO (led by Diāna Gavare);
VPDK "Strautuguns" (led by Zane Kalniņa).

VPDK "Dzīpars" was founded in 1984, with its first leader being Agris Krūmiņš. Later, the success of "Dzīpars" was enhanced by leaders such as Leons Zariņš, Ina Rjabceva, Māra Krūmiņa, and Gints Baumanis. Currently, under the creative guidance of Diāna Gavare, "Dzīpars" remains steadfast in the hands of the Dobele City Cultural Center.
"Dzīpars" serves as a strong link that unites dancers and audiences from all over Latvia. If there is a homeland – "Dzīpars" knows – nothing is lacking!

In the verge of summer!
In the full bloom of summer, on the 181st day of the year, when the Midsummer's Eve has passed and Peter's Day is near, the medium generation dance collective "Dzīpars" of Dobele City Cultural Center will celebrate its 40th anniversary on June 29th at 8:00 PM at the Ķestermeža open-air stage with the dance grand concert "From Summer to Summer".

The theme of the grand concert will follow the course of the Sun. The Latvian eagerly anticipates the blossoming of the dew, blessed and tireless harvest, celebrates abundance, and honors the souls of ancestors. The Latvian nurtured evergreen fir tree, illuminated by candlelight, greets the arrival of the new Sun Year at the winter solstice, and the Latvian experiences the awakening of spring, as the earth awaits seeds and plants. Summer has arrived...

The grand concert is created by the artistic director of VPDK "Dzīpars" Diāna Gavare in collaboration with Dobele City Cultural Center.
The concert will be hosted by Klinta Reinholde, actress of Valmiera Drama Theatre.

During the event, filming and/or photography will take place, and the material may be used for publicity purposes.

In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the event will take place at the Dobele City Cultural Center.
