November is a special time for all of us, as it is associated with both Latvia's Independence Day on November 18 and also with Lāčplēsis Day on November 11, when we commemorate the national heroes who fought for our country's independence and emerged victorious.
At the Adult Education Center, in anticipation of Lāčplēsis Day, there will be a special opportunity to participate in a night hike to better immerse ourselves in the events of that time. During the hike, there will be a chance to explore the places in Olaine where battles also took place in the autumn of 1919, as well as to practically test various survival elements.
The hike will be led by two lecturers: Māris Ribickis, a historian and senior specialist at the Olaine History and Art Museum, who will introduce us to interesting and useful stories about the events of that time in the Olaine area, and Kaspars Kalnbērzs, a sports coach and teacher, who will ensure that the hike is conducted in a health-friendly manner and introduce us to some survival elements.
Attendees are requested to come appropriately dressed for the weather and in comfortable attire and footwear, as well as to bring a flashlight and a thermos with hot tea. The hike will take place both on sidewalks and forest paths.

See you in the historical adventure in our Olaine region.
The event is also suitable for families with children. Minors participate in the event together with their legal guardian.
