Event Series “Summer Readings” 2025

The Sigulda Cultural and Tourism Center announces the Summer Readings program, which will take place on Thursday evenings from June 5 to August 21 at the outdoor terraces of Sigulda's cafes and summer gardens, as well as the terrace and square of the Sigulda New Castle, offering unforgettable encounters with renowned writers and musicians in a relaxed, peaceful, and summery atmosphere for residents and visitors of Sigulda.

 On June 5, meet poet Eduards Aivars, also known as writer Aivars Eipurs, and musician Ilze Grunte at the summer garden of café “Doma”, located at Leona Paegles Street 15A, Sigulda.

 On June 12, meet poet Ērika Bērziņa and poet and writer Rihards Bargo at the summer terrace of café “ESI”, located at Pils Street 4b, Sigulda.

 On July 3, meet poets Liepa Rūce and Sintija Sudmale at the summer garden of bar “Valhalla Lounge”, located at Pils Street 8a, Sigulda.

 On July 10, meet poet Daina Sirmā and musician Māris Rozenfelds at the terrace of the Sigulda New Castle, located at Pils Street 16, Sigulda.

 On July 17, meet writers Kristīne Želve and Elvita Ruka at the summer garden of café “Kaķu māja”, located at Pils Street 8, Sigulda.

On July 24, meet poet Elvīra Bloma and writer Lauris Bērziņš at the summer garden of café “Doma”, located at Leona Paegles Street 15A, Sigulda.

 On July 31, meet writer Jānis Joņevs and musician Edgars Šubrovskis at the summer garden of bar “Valhalla Lounge”, located at Pils Street 8a, Sigulda.

 On August 7, meet poet Marija Luīze Meļķe and the Sigulda-based band “Jaunskungi” – Guntis Kursišs and Artūrs Bariss – at the square of the Sigulda New Castle, located at Pils Street 16, Sigulda.

 On August 21, meet poet and writer Inga Gaile and musicians Ilze Kundziņa and Rūta Īzaka-Mača at the terrace of the Sigulda New Castle, located at Pils Street 16, Sigulda.

 The “Summer Readings” event series will take place in Sigulda for the second consecutive summer, offering the opportunity to combine a visit to Sigulda with the enjoyment of literature.

 The “Summer Readings” are financially supported by the State Cultural Capital Foundation.

 The event series is organized by the cultural center “Siguldas devons”.
