Performance “Ezers”

From August 22 to 24, the 15th Contemporary Theater Festival “Tālvils”2025” will take place in Valka.

On August 22 at 21:30, the mirror hall of the Valka City Culture House (Em. Dārziņa 8, Valka) will host the performance “Ezers” (based on motifs from Aspazija's play “The Serpent's Bride”), by author and artist Matīss Daudziņš.

The performance is a woman's process of self-analysis – about the conscious exploration and understanding of her sexuality and spirituality. It's about following the strength of the feminine world in response to the Soul's calling, delving into the depths of her subconscious, overcoming fears and doubts, and attaining individual freedom. For Aspazija, creation meant constant transformation, dying and being reborn anew in a new form. Her entire consciousness was rooted in creativity. Creativity as an affirmation of personality. The creative team of the performance, following Aspazija's bold transformations, shapes this work as a quest for new forms.
